Our past, our present, and our future

All of what you see here started in a small garage on the south shore of Long Island, New York. I was just a kid then, and skating was already a huge part of my life. On a cool fall night, one of my best friends and I decided to head out to that small garage to see if we could craft a skateboard out of a plank of wood we found in his basement. Without the proper tools, this board came out looking more like a crayon than a skateboard, but I remember being so proud of what we had done. That's where the spark was first ignited. I knew what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. From there, I dove head first into new ways to produce boards and started expanding my skills and my craft. Eventually, the idea of Fs was born.

Then I went to college, and this is where things really took off. I fell into a group of friends who I still call brothers to this day. Many of them are still a huge part of Fs. They all influenced me in different ways and constantly pushed me and my board making to new heights. Without this crew, Foster Skateboards would not be half of what it is today. From ideas for new concaves, constant prototyping and testing of new shapes, to the experiences I have shared with them on and off our boards, I am truly thankful to each and every one of them.

After college, things got real. I upped the ante and invested in a hydraulic press, CNC molds, and an assortment of CNC board templates to create the best boards I could produce out of my small shop. These boards were of a higher quality than anything I had ever made before. Over the next few years, my brothers and I expanded our fan base, sponsored a few major events, filmed for media, and experienced trips that will forever be remembered. However, I knew there was still so much room to grow as family and brand.

So, a new chapter is opening here at Foster Skateboards. Things are changing as fast as the seasons change. The future is unfolding and showing us new paths that we never thought were imaginable. The sun is rising on a new era and things are looking brighter than they ever have been. We have recently relocated to Seattle, WA and have linked up with a local manufacturing company based here and they are working with us to produce the boards we only use to dream of. These new decks are of a high caliber and we are proud to show them to the world!

We plan to continue pushing the boundaries as much as we can in all facets of skateboarding and fostering the scene that we love so much to grow and flourish. A skateboard is not just a plank of wood with two trucks and four wheels bolted to it. It is a way of self-expression, a way for the mind to let go of stress and conquer fear, and a way to have fun and bond with people from all over the world. It is a way of life.

I truly hope that you enjoy our new line up of boards and the other things we have to offer here at Foster Skateboards. I am incredibly thankful to all of you for supporting me and my brothers as we continue to pursue our passions through skateboarding!
